The most common causes of death in Tanzania are HIV/AIDS, TBC and cholera.

You would think that when free health care is offered, it would be much easier to be treated; however there is much ignorance and greed among the people. Most people do not even know that they can get free treatment for TBC and cholera.

Sure, it takes time for a country to develop, but it would happen much faster if the people of Tanzania were willing to develop. South Africa is a good example of quick development.

In Tanzania the people of the city have the power over the villagers since they are not as educated and easily become victims of others. 
It is not often you see villagers applying to hospitals/clinics and those that do, often have to wait many days before getting any help.

Health care is just one example.

According to the Criminal Procedure Code of the Penal Code, a person arrested must be questioned within 48 hours. However, this is not so in reality. Many days can pass before people are questioned. Torture is illegal, but it exists. Family members can be taken in and tortured to get a confession more quickly.

Do those arrested know about their rights? I don’t think so.

In order for human rights to be followed, the RIGHT education is needed in all areas of work people must be informed that they in fact have rights and not accept being treated like animals.

I think that the present President Kikwete will be making drastic changes when it comes to corruption. And it is exactly that which prevents Tanzania’s development.

Why do the children end up on the streets? The reasons are many. AIDS is one largest causes of death and unless there are relatives to take care of the children, they will finally end up on the streets. Shattered family conditions where children escape from situations at home, where assault occurs. Other children are sent to the large cities to work and often remain. 

Poor access to medicines and economy prevent parents with AIDS from getting the care they need. The children often end up with their mother or paternal grandparents; however they are not always capable of taking on the task. 

Assault on children is a big problem. The elders do not often feel that they are doing something wrong and the children often think that it is how things should be, they are brought up to obey their elders regardless. If they have suffered this, there is little chance of their being believed as the elder’s word is of more weight and it is not often openly discussed that they can be strongly punished for their “lies”. 

When parents can no longer support their family and themselves, they often send their children out to work. Once they have learned to like the city, they are easily presented with the possibilities of making fast money. Boys often become criminal and the girls sell their bodies. These children are between 12 and 16 years of age. 

The children of Tanzania grow fast psychologically and have great responsibilities that they cannot shoulder. The minimum age for marriage is 15 year of age for girls and 18 years for boys. Parts of the Indian population and local customs practices in Tanzania allow girls to be promised for marriage at the early age of 12. What does one know about marriage and being a wife at the age of 12? What did you do between the ages of 12 – 15? 

I am today going on 26 years and I feel, no I know, that I have a lot to learn about life, parenting and about myself. I am presently engaged and will in time marry, however I have been given the chance of being a child and even if the government counts me as being an adult, there is a lot of knowledge to learn before I see myself as being adult. 

The question I ask myself every day is, why can’t the Swedish system work in Tanzania? One day I hope to find the answers. Couse I want to give a better life for the children of Tanzania

It was said that most of the black people would be voting for Obama and also 40% of the white people. There was no doubt in my mind that he would not win.

But now the pressure is on. To be the first back president… hold on

He is not the first black president. His mother is white and his father is black. How does that make him the first black president can many think.

The reason is no matter the out-spring of your family, as long you are colored you are always considerate black. If you are so white and only get your “color” during summer, then maybe they can call you white. But that is not right either. Cant the mixed raced just be know as that, mixed rase. why erase one part of there dna?

I feel that Obama has open many doors to the black people by becoming president, and I hope that he will turn around the credit crunch that bush has created with his unnecessary wars.

Its really nobody fault.

Its what we learnt from the society.

Not everything is to be fallowed or to be said. Its really simple,  If you dont know what to say to a person, be quite and dont say nothing at all. Or just say ” I dont know what to say”. 

Did I just say simple? Finding the right words to say isn’t always a simple a task, but it’s one that’s worth your time and energy. Anyone can pick up a mass-produced condolence and just burp it out. That’s a nice gesture but finding words of sympathy from your heart that are specific to the grieving person will be more treasured. These personally and heartfelt words of condolence serve as a tribute to the deceased and words of comfort to the bereaved.

Grieving for the death of a loved one is a long process that takes time and acceptance.

During this times, many people should be careful about the words they say or actions they do in front of the grieving family members. Generally, the attendees do not want to give additional grief to those affected, hence the tendency is to keep quiet and simply extend their support silently.

Some words i find acceptable to be used:

• I am so sorry.

These three words are enough to convey to the grieving person that you understand the importance of the deceased person in his life and that you share his sadness. These words are enough to show that you sincerely care for the bereaved.

• Tell me how I can help, I here for you.
  
• I’m praying for you.
  
•  He/She will be missed.
  
•  I have never been through something like this and can only imagine.
  
• What do you need right now?
  
•  I am here to listen whenever you are ready.
  
• My sympathy to you and your family

Words that you should avoid:

• I know what you are going through.

It does not matter if the exact person from your side died recently. This is the word that never should be used. It shouldn’t exist. It can never be the same experience. we are all individuals and our reaction to things can never be the same. Even brother and sisters. Each person has a different relation to the person who has passed away, so you can NEVER know what the other is going through. 

• You must be strong

WHAT? My … just died and you want me to be strong. Cant one just be weak. This is the last time one will ever se her/him again. Cant we just express our feelings instead of holding everything in?

But Im not really that exited this time around.

When I was 14 I looked forward to get 15. Buy that time I lived in storvreta  just outside uppsala. If  my memories does not disappoint me I had some friends over for dinner and afterwards we went out. Not out clubbing or anything, we went to a  very hot spot known to only to a small group of people. 

Here we were dancing our as off listening to classic old school. “Biggie, biggie, biggie cant you see. Some times the world just hypnotize me”. I felt good this day, everything was rolling on nicely. I even got home in time.

What i didint know was that my jacket was smelling weed and my mother caught it out. All I smoked that night was cigarets. At last she did believed me and I was telling the truth. 

When I turned 18 some classmates took me out for a celebration. It was really nice finally to show up you ID saying you are 18 and not go buy the back door as I was use to do. But here is the twist. The places we went to you had to be over 20 to get in. So back to the old procedure. Then when I finally turned 20 it was not as fun to go out clubbing anymore.

I had put up goal for me to achieve before turning 25. The only one I did not make was getting my driving license. Its not that I cant drive. Its just that I never got the time to get it done. And for every day going by I get more lazy. 

So… this year Im moving on to 26. After this there is no more discount. From now on I have to pay everything in full price. This mean that Im an adult now……….

As my first thing to do as an adult I will stop running. The lastest years I have always run away… from the cold winter to a hotter destination in africa. This time around Im going snowboarding in france.

I have been hurting a lot of people, stepping on many toes to get what I want. But I hit rock bottom in my 20s. II really do believe in karma and then it was my time to pay my dues.

But if i keep going on like I do I will truly miss out on the most important thing in the world, I will miss out on life its self. 

Now I feel like its over and done with. I have paid for my sins and now i want to move on. I don´t judge my self no more and neither would anyone else. It does feel god and refreshing. There is nothing that will get me down and I wont let myself feel like an underdog. I am a good person. I think its time for everybody else as well to know now.

I am thankful to god who gave me strength to believe, I believe now and with that I will succeed with what ever ill put my heart and soul to.
